The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established by Ministry of Education, Government of India an independent/autonomous, self-reliant and self-sustained premier testing organization. NTA will be conducting the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE)-2023 for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in 33 Sainik Schools across the country, for the academic year 2023-24. Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to CBSE. They prepare cadets to join the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy and other Training Academies, for Officers. Ministry of Defence (MoD) has approved 18 New Sainik Schools, which operate in partnership with NGOs/private schools/State Governments. These approved new Sainik Schools function under the aegis of Sainik Schools Society. Admission to the Sainik School stream of Class 6 of the New Sainik Schools, for the academic year 2023-24 is also through AISSEE 2023.

Class 6 Eligibility Criteria

  • Boys/Girls who are studying in Class 5 in a recognized school and whose age is between 10 to 12 years as of March 31, 2024, are eligible to apply.

Class 9 Eligibility Criteria

  • A candidate who has passed the Class 8 exam from a recognized school aged between 13 and 15 years as of March 31, 2024. The candidate should have been born between April 01, 2009, and March 31, 2011.

Offline (Pen and Paper based)

  1. Candidates will have to begin with the Sainik School registration process. Visit the website – aissee.nta.nic.in.
  2. Click on ‘New Registration’. Fill in your email id and phone number.
  3. A system-generated application number will be sent to the candidate’s email address and phone number.
  4. Candidates can use the system-generated Application number to log in and check the AISSEE form status 2024.
  5. Fill in all the personal information and details asked in the application form for AISSEE 2024 carefully. Click on the ‘Submit’ button. Upload the official documents/certificates being mindful of the size dimensions and the format in which they are asked to be uploaded.
  6. Click on the ‘Submit’ button. It will take you to the payment gateway page. Select the payment method out of the given options on the website. Pay the required fee online.
  7. After successful payment of the fee, a confirmation page will appear. Candidates must take a printout of the same for future reference.

  • By getting admission to Sainik School, the student prepares to a great extent in the field of NDA and Navy. Sainik School contributes significantly to developing a student to his full potential. 
  • There are Sainik Schools in many states in the country, whose total number is 33 as of now. Every year the entrance test for admission to class 6 and class 9 is conducted by the National Testing Agency. After this, you have an interview and a medical test. 
  • After admission to Sainik School, you are allotted a hostel by staying in which the student does his study. Along with studies, other activities include sports and cultural programs as well as intellectual and creative programs. 
  • Applications come from all over the country for admission to Sainik School, whose admission process is quite difficult. Only the most qualified students are selected for these schools.
