Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) is an entrance examination conducted by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) for admission into the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). JNVs are a system of government-funded schools in India, primarily located in rural areas, that provide quality education to talented and deserving students from economically weaker sections of society. JNVST is conducted once a year, usually in the months of January, April, June, and September, depending on the State and the region. The selection test is designed to test the mental ability and scholastic aptitude of students.

The JNVST exam consists of three sections: Mental Ability Test (MAT), Arithmetic Test, and Language Test. The MAT section tests a student’s reasoning and mental ability, the Arithmetic section tests the student’s mathematical skills, and the Language section tests the student’s proficiency in language. The exam is conducted in both English and Hindi languages.
