The PM YASASVI scholarship scheme, also known as the PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India, is a significant move that has been done in the aim of assisting economically disadvantaged children who have demonstrated academic excellence. Students that fall under the OBC, SC, ST, or EWS categories and are diligent in their studies are eligible for assistance from the Central Government through this program. Students in classes 9 and 10 are eligible to receive a scholarship with an annual value up to ₹ 75,000 under this program. Scholarships for a total up to ₹ 1,25,000 per year are awarded to students in classes 11 and 12. Students whose families have an annual income of less than ₹ 2,50,000 are the only ones who can participate in the PM Yasasvi Scheme.

The main objective of the PM YASASVI Scheme launched by the Central Government is to encourage meritorious students of poor and deprived sections to continue their studies. The smooth operation of this scholarship scheme is done by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), Non-Notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT/NT/SNT) categories.

To avail the benefits under the PM YASASVI Scheme 2023 launched by the Central Government, interested students must meet the below eligibility criteria set by the government:

  • Applicant students must be permanent residents of India to get benefits under the PM YASASVI Scheme.
  • Candidate students must belong to one of the following communities: OBC, EBC, DNT SAR, NT or SNT.
  • Along with this, only students studying in class 9 or class 11 will be considered eligible to get this scholarship.
  • To be eligible for this scholarship, applicant students must have a maximum family annual income of ₹ 2.5 lakhs.

  1. Visit the official website at nta.ac.in.
  2. Click on the ‘Register’ button on the homepage.
  3. Select ‘Candidate Registration’ on the next page.
  4. Fill out the registration form with your name, email ID, date of birth, password, and other required details.
  5. Click on ‘Create Account’ after filling in all the details.
  6. Note down the application number that is provided to you after successful registration.
  7. Save the application number for future reference.
  • For Class 9 Students:
    • Financial assistance of up to ₹ 75,000 per year is provided in the form of a scholarship.
  • For Class 11 Students:
    • Financial assistance of up to ₹ 1,25,000 per year is provided in the form of scholarship.
  • Overall, the PM YASASVI Scheme aims to support and encourage the education of meritorious students from marginalized communities and provide them with opportunities to excel in their academic pursuits.
