The SHRESHTA scheme provides scholarships to meritorious students from class 9 and class 11 belonging to scheduled castes in targeted areas. It covers all their educational expenses, and students need to take an entrance examination called NETS to be eligible. The Government plans to launch this scheme in the academic year 2022-23, and the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the test in a computer-based mode at the national level.

  • Students studying in classes from 9th to 11th belonging to the SC communities while holding the age group of 6 to 14 years can apply online under the SHRESHTA Scholarship Scheme for getting the scholarship amounts. 
  • The applicant must be a permanent citizen of India. 
  • The student will need to secure passing marks in NETS. 
  • Parent’s annual income should be up to maximum of  2.5 lakhs.

  1. Go to the official website of SHRESHTA Scheme 2023.
  2. On the homepage of the website, you have to click on “Apply Online“.
  3. On this page, you have to click on “New Registration” then a new page will open in front of you, on which instructions will be written, read them carefully. 
  4. After reading the instructions, tick the checkbox that appears at the bottom and proceed by clicking on the link “Proceed”. 
  5. Provide with the important information asked on this application form such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, identity type, identification number, address, district, city, country, state, pin code, email address, mobile number, Permanent address etc. 
  6. Then upload the required documents. 
  7. Submit the application form with the help of the submit button, thus the application process will be completed. 
  • SHRESHTA Scholarship Scheme will provide social economic welfare to the students belonging to the SC communities. 
  • Students securing good marks in the NETS (National Entrance Test for SHRESTHA Exam) will be given the scholarship amounts first. 
  • Students studying in classes from 9th to 11th will be able to get the scholarship amount. 
  • There will be no negative marking for the wrong question attempt. 
  • This test will cover major subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and GK. 
  • Students will be able to expand their knowledge, skills, and aptitude. 
  • Offline Mode of exam will be used so that the students will be able to feel better while conducting their exams. 
  • Students will be able to get paid their schooling fees. 
  • One can apply online under the SHRESHTA Scholarship Scheme before the last date for getting timely registration.
